Keys to Successful Abstract Submission

Abstracts are accepted for consideration by the North American Brain Injury Society with the understanding that each submitted work adhere to ALL of the bullet points below:

  • Submissions take place through Oxford Abstracts platform only.
  • The abstract is EITHER:
    • original material that has not been published previously and is not being considered for publication elsewhere, OR
    • an “Encore Abstract” (i.e., an abstract previously presented or published elsewhere) which the submitting author(s) has approval from the copyright holder to the abstract (i.e., the journal or publisher of the conference proceedings in which was published, if transfer to that journal or publisher was made at the time of publication) or if the journal in which it was published previously does not have a policy that precludes its publication elsewhere.
  • All abstracts must have been approved for submission by each author listed on the abstract.
  • Submission of an abstract reflects a commitment on the part of the authors to present the abstract at the annual meeting of NABIS. Accepted abstracts must be presented in person at the NABIS meeting by an author of the work. Abstracts that are not presented in person by one of the abstract authors will be withdrawn.
