Conference Overview

The Brain Injury Association of America’s 2026 BIAA National Conference and Awareness Day will bring together the brain injury community to inspire action, drive advocacy, celebrate achievements, and strengthen our collective impact through dynamic sessions, networking, and opportunities to advocate on Capitol Hill.

Whether you are a person living with a brain injury, a caregiver, or a healthcare provider, this conference will offer tools, resources, and networking opportunities for leaders (and emerging leaders) in the brain injury community to inspire action.

Location: Hilton Arlington National Landing, Arlington, VA

 

Conference Focus Areas

  • Advocacy and Policy: Tools and strategies for effective advocacy at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Leadership Development: Building the next generation of leaders in the brain injury community.
  • Innovation and Best Practice Engagement: Volunteer leadership strategies for engaging with brain injury research and other areas of the brain injury community.
  • Lived Experience: Amplifying the voices of individuals living with brain injury and their families.
  • Collaboration and Networking: Strengthening partnerships across the brain injury field.

 

Draft Agenda

  • Monday, March 9: Conference opens in the afternoon with registration and opening activities.
  • Tuesday, March 10: Full day of dynamic sessions, award celebrations, lunch, and networking opportunities.
  • Wednesday, March 11: Awareness Day events on Capitol Hill including congressional appointments, a group photo on the Hill, a briefing event with the Congressional Brain Injury Task Force, and a joint BIAA/NABIS reception to close out the BIAA National Brain Injury Conference and Awareness Day.
