Biography

Dr. Madison Harris is a licensed and board-certified occupational therapist and Head of the Occupational Therapy Program at the UCLA Steve Tisch BrainSPORT Program. Her clinical and scholarly work focuses on return to life after concussion and traumatic brain injury (TBI), with particular emphasis on post-concussive autonomic dysfunction, dysautonomia, and functional reintegration across the lifespan. At BrainSPORT, she provides interdisciplinary clinical care for youth and collegiate athletes, contributes to research on concussion outcomes and gender disparities in recovery, and leads education and training initiatives in occupational therapy.

Dr. Harris is also a member of the interdisciplinary care team at UCLA Operation Mend, where she works with post-9/11 combat veterans with TBI, addressing the complex physical, cognitive, and psychosocial challenges associated with injury, military transition, and reintegration. Her work with veterans includes program development, clinical care, and outcomes-focused initiatives aimed at supporting long-term recovery and participation. Dr. Harris frequently presents nationally on concussion rehabilitation, autonomic dysfunction, and transition-focused models of care for athletes and veterans.
