Biography
Simon Driver, PhD, is the Director of the Discovery Center for Brain Injury and Concussion Recovery Research at Spaulding Rehabilitation. He joined the team June 2025 after spending 12 years as Chief Scientific Officer and Director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation research at Baylor Scott and White Research Institute in Dallas, Texas. His research focuses on health promotion efforts for people with brain injury with an emphasis on cardiovascular health through physical activity and nutrition. He has a growing interest in comparative effectiveness research and implementation science to ensure evidence-based interventions are accessible to people after injury. Dr. Driver’s independent and collaborative research is supported by agencies such as the National Institute of Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research, Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute, National Institute of Health, and Department of Defense.
