MILD TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY: EXPLORING THE FRONTIERS OF SCIENCE AND CARE

This full-day session will bring together experts, researchers, and health care professionals to explore recent advancements in the assessment and management of this condition.

Key themes will include the latest on mTBI pathophysiology, best evidence informed clinical practices for diagnosis and rehabilitation, and innovative technologies aiding recovery. Numerous small group interactional hands-on interactive breakouts will also be utilized emphasizing assessment and a variety of treatment protocols. 

In addition, this session will be a platform for networking, collaboration, and knowledge exchange to further the science and care of mTBI.

 

ADVANCING CARE AND SERVICE DELIVERY FOLLOWING SEVERE BRAIN INJURY AND DISORDERS OF CONSCIOUSNESS

This full-day session will explore the clinical complexities in the diagnosis and management of severe brain injury which result in a spectrum of behavioral conditions known as Disorders of Consciousness (DOC). The critical role of scientific and evidence informed knowledge translation in DOC clinical practice will be emphasized.

Attendees will learn evidence based best practices for assessments and rehabilitation aimed at enhancing care and improving both patient and family outcomes. By integrating recent research findings and practical strategies, this session empowers health care professionals to deliver effective and compassionate care for individuals facing these challenging.

Registration for these sessions will open in the Fall of 2025.
